“Tell the Story” This Christmas

/, Gospel, Life on Mission/“Tell the Story” This Christmas

Every Christmas the bumper stickers appear – “Keep Christ in Christmas!” I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment, but how do we make it more than just bumper sticker theology?

This Christmas we have developed a tool not only to keep Christ in Christmas but also to introduce Him to those who have yet to repent and believe the gospel. Our Family Church worship team has produced a Christmas CD with 8 songs in English y seis canciones en Español.

We released the album yesterday along with a 30-day Advent devotional book written by our Pastors and Ministry Leaders. It begins the first Sunday of Advent, November 29, and takes you and your family all the way through to Christmas Day. Also included are 5 easy-to-lead family devotionals, one for each Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve/Day.

We are encouraging everyone at our church to “get one and gift one.” There are millions of South Floridians and millions more across our country who don’t know that Jesus came to save them. Christmas is a perfect opportunity to introduce them to “our Father, our Counselor, our Prince of Peace – He’s a mighty God.” (Those are a few of the lyrics from the original “Go Tell It” song.)

If you or your church is interested in making this resource available, you can get more information at familychurchworship.org. Let’s do our part to tell the story of Jesus so that more people can put Christ in their Christmas.
